If your an angler and wanting to start out kayak fishing... this is the one. The stability is insane! It's very noobie friendly (for the kayak paddle stroke challenged). The mirage drive allowed me to effortlessly attain 5mph and going against the tide is not a deal at all. I inshore fish and am now able to hit the "skinny water" in the grasses where the reds and specks have there door mats and slippers. Are there other options sure, but this "entry level Yak" is not to be missed. Test drive one out and see for yourself... one more thing. Go ahead and stand on it while on the water. Sight fishing on it is a winner!
